The FactoRIS II Project was Approved for Funding in 2022 and Launched

The joint effort of the FactoRIS project continues also in 2022 under the umbrella of FactoRIS II. Thanks to the success in the approval procedure for further funding by EIT Manufacturing, FactoRIS II will continue to support the case-specific digital transformation of RIS based SMEs by evolving existing production facilities towards Industry 4.0. This will be achieved by developing and networking already established learning factories, and providing modular testbed demonstrators for acute and real manufacturing problems. The main goal is to provide tailor-made learning content that will help in adopting and sharing innovative education and training concepts with SME stakeholders. Key enabling technologies will be IIoT, edge computing, data collection and evaluation in cloud. This requires upskilling relevant personnel to adopt new possibilities in their work, which will be performed by means of innovative hands-on courses and best practice guidelines delivered as digital learning nuggets on GLP.
