The main emphasis of our consortium is on technology solutions for smart manufacturing ecosystems, where maintenance activities can be supported by shared knowledge from a number of similar devices operated by ecosystem partners – solution suppliers and manufacturers. FactoRIS II brings together seven partners from three different Co-Location Centers (CLC) of EIT Manufacturing. The original FactoRIS partners, Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava (STUBA) and Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto (FEUP), continue in evolving their established learning factories towards Industry 4.0 and in delivering novel
learning experiences to SMEs. FactoRIS II moreover supports the RIS oriented networking and technological competencies of the consortium by new research/education partners, Czech Technical University in Prague (CTU) and University of Modena and Reggio Emilia (UNIMORE). CTU runs the first Testbed for Industry 4.0 and transfer of technologies and solutions for Czech SMEs. UNIMORE offers expertise in virtual training and human-centric approach including also frail users. To complete the knowledge triangle model and maximize the impact, ART-ER and Slovak Industry Innovation Cluster (IIC) provide their competences in innovation and technology as well as access to networks of RIS based SMEs. TU Wien further acts as a matur non-RIS advisor with experience in operating the successful Pilot Factory I4.0 and supporting Austrian SMEs in their digital transformation.
