After 5 months of working remotely, FactoRIS-II had its first consortium meeting hosted by Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto (FEUP).
It took place on June 21st and 22nd and during those days all partners involved shared the work done so far and outlined a roadmap to allow the achievemrnt of the following project goals:
- Retrofit the existing equipment to allow adoption of Industry 4.0 methods towards waste-free manufacturing;
- Retrain and upskill the personnel to boost the uptake of advanced technologies by SMEs;
- Develop innovative didactic methods based on best practices and creative decision-making strategies.
The project meeting had a form of interactive workshop followed by discussions. Also, there was the visit to the FEUP’s DIGI2 Lab (Digital and Intelligent Industry Lab) on the programme with a collaborative robot demonstrator.
